Get your screws fixed in perfectly with this depth setter bit.
This depth setter bit is a must-have for anyone looking to install new decking. It features an automatic stop mechanism which stops your screw from driving in further.
It does this all without stripping the screw recess too. The mechanism disengages the driver bit and stops the screw at the perfect depth.
This tool also features a free spinning stop collar, which is fitted with a rubber O-ring. This design prevents it from doing any damage to the work surface.
This depth setter bit is perfect for use with our Trex Composite Decking range.
It’s the perfect tool for helping you set-up any new decking! It’s ideal for use with our Starborn pro plugs, and Deckfast metal or Cap-Tor timber screws.
All you need to do is simply knock the pro plug into the recess created! Depth setter bit instructions:
- Set screw using the depth setter bit.
- Simply tap in plug with the hammer into the recess.
Whilst the Starborn pro plugs (and depth setter bit) are optional – we heavily recommend them for any decking project.
The pro plug is perfect for hiding screw fixings – so you get a cleaner, tidy finish for your decking. The plug and depth setter bit are most commonly used for square edge boards.
Reminder: This depth setter bit only comes with the tool. You will still need to purchase the pack of pro plugs and screws separately.
